MENGEKSPLORASI PENERAPAN BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING (BIM) PADA INDUSTRI KONSTRUKSI INDONESIA DARI PERSPEKTIF PENGGUNA

Abstract


Penerapan Building Information Modeling (BIM) di industri konstruksi di Indonesia masih dianggap rendah meski BIM bukan hal baru dan menawarkan keuntungan efisiensi dan kinerja selama tahap desain dan konstruksi. Literatur tentang aplikasi BIM di industri konstruksi Indonesia juga masih sangat terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi penerapan BIM di Indonesia dari perspektif penggunanya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur dengan praktisi yang berpengetahuan dan berpengalaman dengan BIM. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara, alasan responden menggunakan BIM karena mendapatkan manfaat yaitu dapat mengontrol proyek konstruksi lebih baik, mendeteksi lebih dini potensi konflik selama fase desain, dan menjadi sarana promosi guna mendapatkan proyek baru. Kekurangan BIM sejauh ini belum ditemukan. Beberapa faktor penghambat adalah biaya investasi awal yang tinggi dan pergeseran budaya kerja. Responden sepakat bahwa BIM memiliki potensi yang baik ke depannya seiring dengan tumbuhnya kesadaran dari industri dan tren pasar. Dari perspektif akademis dan praktis, temuan ini setidaknya dapat memperkaya pengetahuan eksisting dan memberikan dasar untuk pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang penerapan BIM di industri konstruksi Indonesia.
